What is a stub end?

Used in conjunction with a backing flange, a Stub End is, essentially, a short length of pipe with one flared end and one square-cut end, which is welded to a pipe of the same NPS, material grade and schedule.

What is stubend used for?
The main function of stub end is to connect pipes together in a piping system along with a stainless steel lap joint flange/backing flange. The stainless steel stub ends are used in conjunction with stainless steel lap joint flanges/backing flanges.

Industrial Applications
Stub end is widely used in the petroleum, chemical, power, gas, metallurgy, shipbuilding and construction industries. It is made from high quality raw materials, and available in a variety of sizes and designs.
